This study investigates the factors influencing integration of ICT in teacher education in Vietnam, an emerging developing country, at the beginning of integration of ICT. Exploratory multiple regression analysis addresses the importance of different factors at the teacher level and the importance of the teacher education institute for the integration of ICT in teaching practice. The use of ICT applications for teaching practice is limited, mostly replacing traditional teaching practice. The factors explaining the integration of ICT in teaching practice are ICT skills and computer confidence. Significant differences exist between different teacher education institutions. Suggestions are made as to what approach to take to effectively integrate ICT in teacher education in Vietnam.
